BACALAR MEXICO Lagoon of the seven colours

Fine art photography workshop with Anthony Epes

A Seven Day Photography adventure FEBRUARY 19TH-26TH 2018

Create a photo project

Create a photo project

I’ll be working with each of you to help you create a personal project and portfolio of images which I will then have printed at Metro Imaging in London. They print all my fine art prints and are of outstanding quality.

Creative tranquility

Creative tranquility

Removing unnecessary stimulation and planting ourselves deep into the peace, tranquility and quiet of a remote southern part of this incredible part of Mexico. A vast blue lagoon, white sand that edges onto the jungle.

Slow photography

Slow photography

This will be ‘slow photography’ – like ‘slow food’ this is about being immersed in your subject as it’s all around you – and taking your time to work with your subject to create incredible images. There will be no rushing from place to place.

Exploration & Discovery

We will start our photo project in the exploration & ideas phase by exploring the local area and the different subjects you could focus on.

I will help you develop a vision for the project you want to create, and we will work together as a group providing feedback

Get technical

I will then provide technical and creative guidance to help you realise your vision

What are you waiting for?

  • "I had a really good time doing a private tuition day with Anthony and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone else who might be considering."

  • "[Anthony] brings a painter’s eye to the waking city: his glittering pictures of the Thames and London’s canals and of the medieval/modern hodgepodge of the city are striking."

  • "Anthony is a great instructor, who puts you at ease, offers good, understandable advice and is good company."

  • “Anthony has the ideal combination of expertise, clarity and patience. His enthusiasm is infectious”

  • "I've been doing professional photography for 5 years and Anthony was still offering me the odd tip and gem of knowledge that has paid off in my work since the workshop. The workshop developed my photography, my knowledge of London, and I had a great time do it. Even if everyone else was going to bed we were getting up."

  • "Very enjoyable and enabling days, photographing in the unique and beautiful light around dawn, with very few people or vehicles around, in the excellent company of like minded enthusiasts, and excellent professional technical advice on tap from Anthony".
